Copyediting focuses on the mechanics of your manuscript: word usage, grammar, punctuation, consistency, clarity, overused words, limited fact-checking, and other stylistic issues. Story elements and structure are not covered unless there are inconsistencies that need to be addressed.

The proofread is the last line of defense for your manuscript. This service is the last thing you want before it sees the light of day. Proofreading focuses on missed typos and errors, and funky layout issues (missing chapter numbers, indentation, etc.). There is no such thing as a perfect manuscript (errors always manage to slip through), but this is your last chance to find any pesky errors!
